Natural Protection Works Differently

Natural products can work differently from conventional insect repellents—and they may need to be used differently, too. Because BioVeil™ is formulated with nature-powered ingredients, it is important to shake the can well before every use and apply the product evenly across exposed skin.

BioVeil™ uses controlled-release technology to gradually release its active ingredients over time. A quick, light mist may leave areas uncovered and provide less protection, so ensure complete, even coverage on the arms, legs, neck and other exposed areas.

BioVeil™ has been independently tested under controlled conditions to provide up to eight hours of mosquito protection and three hours of tick protection. Actual performance may vary depending on application, activity level and environmental conditions.

When Should I Reapply?

Reapply BioVeil™ as needed and according to the product label. You may need to reapply sooner when:

  • The original application did not provide complete, even coverage.
  • You have been swimming or exposed to water.
  • Heavy perspiration may have affected coverage.
  • Clothing or towels have rubbed the product from your skin.
  • You begin noticing mosquitoes or ticks again.

Actual performance may vary depending on activity level, application and environmental conditions.

Directions for Use

Shake Well! Apply to exposed skin as needed. Use on arms, legs, neck and other uncovered areas. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and irritated or broken skin. For facial application, spray BioVeil™ onto your hands first and then apply it to the face.

When applying BioVeil™ to children, spray the product onto your own hands first and then gently apply it to the child’s exposed skin. Wash your hands after application. Always read and follow the complete product label before use.

Essential Oils, Reimagined

Essential oils are volatile compounds, meaning they can evaporate quickly. Certain essential-oil components may also cause irritation or sensitivity in some individuals, depending on their concentration, formulation and method of application.

BioVeil™ uses encapsulation technology to surround its essential oils with a protective, nature-derived shell. This technology is designed to slow evaporation and control how the active ingredients are released over time. Encapsulation can also help limit immediate, concentrated exposure to the essential oils at the skin’s surface.

Encapsulation reduces the chances of irritation, but does not eliminate the possibility, and individual responses can vary. Avoid applying BioVeil™ to irritated or broken skin, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
